Editing
We tried to insert some of our band footage into are timeline on final cut, but unfortuntly we encounted some problems when we tried to add the clips. however this was not the only thing that we tried to do as we also tried to see what footage worked and what did not work. as a result of this we now have a clear idea about what footage that we should add top the video to make it more professional looking.

Editing
Today i managed to complete in editing all of the band footage that we have so far into usable footage that we are going to use in the video. we still need to sort out a possible re-shoot as we still need more overall footage of the band playing the instruments. with in the footage that we have managed to show the atmosphere with in a music studio thought the good use of the viarity of camera angles.

Editing
Today i started to upload some of are band footage that we are going to have in the video. as we were uploading are footage we realised that we had plenty of footage of the band "messing around" but we have very little footage of the band actually playing the instruments, so this means that we have to reshoot the band clips and get more of the band actually playing the intruments.

Editing
today we managed to add to the amount of footage that we are able to use to increase the footage to about 20 - 21 seconds, but however we were unable to save this for an unknown reason. we also managed to add the song that we are using to the animation.

editing our music video 2
At the end of today we have so far upload approximately 78 - 85 frames which have all have been hand drawn and we have put these into final cut to produce approximately 3-5 seconds of useable footage
Editing our music video
today we continued are editing/ uploading for our video using the final cut software we have decided that each frame is going to be 00.00.04 th of a second. This might be a little quick for a music video but with stop motion animation, we have to manually import the images so that they run at 25 fames per second, where as conventional music videos record at 25 frames per second automatically.

Editing
The way in which we are creating are music video is time consuming. this is down to the fact that all the animation is hand drawn and that it takes time in producing all of the required images that we need to use for are video
Uploading/ editing
today we started to put the whole thing together, however the new program that we started to use called final cut was a little bit difficult to understand and get use to all of the new functions as are previous videos all have been made with the standard software Imovie. I move is o.k for using but however compared to final cut, I Move does not offer the same amount of special effects as i Movie.
Filming
we filmed today the part of are music video where there is no animation and we films clips of the band. now that we have this we will be able to show little clips of the band during the video, however images of the band will not be shown for a long time in the video.

Montage editing
here is Montage editing broken down:
- continuous development of a linear narritive is not a key function
- uses a more of a wide selection of frames and angles are used.
- makes use of of a variety of editing possiblites
- discontinuity is preferred rather than continuity in time and space

classic continuity
here are what Classic continuity is broken down:
- the function of editing is to further the narritive
- continuity has a limited taxonomy of shot types to 'naturalise' movement from shot to shot, so that it appears 'seamless'
- makes use of a narrow set of editing possiblities e.g the standard to show dialouge between characters is shot -reverse shot
- continuity is sought to preserve the flow of time and coherence of space.

Godwins theories
Godwin came up with several theories to do with the lyrics of a song in the music video. There are three main theories that he came up with:
Illustration - this is where the narritive tells a story of the lyrics in a literal way/meaning. this is done through the visuals of the video
Amplification- the visual narrtive does not contradict the lyrics of the song but instead they creates new levels of meaning which makes the viewer think more about what they are seeing
disjuncture- this is where the visual narritive goes against the lyrics of a song for example where the song talks about a cat and the audience is shown a dog

Bordwell and tompson
There are 4 main methods to make a music video intresting for the audience and tompson and Bordwell came up with the following methods:
Graphic :
This is based on Mise-en-scene and cinematography of the music video. with in Graphc there are three sub catagories, graphic match, graphic continuity and graphic discontinuity.
Rhythmic:
This considers how long each shot is shown to the audience.
Spatial:
this is used to show the audience how the Mise-en-scene is set out in the music video
Temporal:
this is to do with whether or not the music video follows some sort of order.
