editing for are music video continued...

Today we started to play around with the different affects tht finalcut has to offer like the strobe affect to see if we can make the band footage that we have seem more 'cartoon'. this will help try and make the footage fit more with the whole 'animation' side of the video. Another reason for this is because the band footage does look slightly out of place and looks to 'clear', where as in contract the hand drawn designs of the animation do not look as 'clear' as the band footage that we have shot.

Editing for are music Video

Today we continued to edit our music video, using the new footage that we manage to reshoot. The new footage that we have shoot really i think goes well with the animation as if countinues on the almost playful feeling of that in the animation. However while the new footage that we have shot has loads of the band members almost 'messing' around there is could be a little bit more footage of them actually playing thier instruments ECT.. .

Reshooting

today we resshot some of the footage that we needed for our music video. With all of the recent snow that the country has experienced in the last week or so provided the perfect setting with some nice lighting effects of the sun in the background and the "whiteness" of the snow. During the reshoot we tried to use an much more viarity of shot types compared to are first footage. There is one angle how ever where the camera is tilted to one side on a log with luke (are lead Gutiarist) playing the gutiar.

Music video ending idea

i suggested an idea for the ending for our music video where there is an contrast from the animation to the real world band footage that we have. This involves creating an series of animations at the end where the audience see both the anino and the bear standing side by side next to each other and to then slowly change the opacity and start to see two of the band stanging in a similar way to the animaie characters. Then to finish off by having two contrasting images of both the anime and the band standing in a similar way to each other.

Editing for music video

Today we continued to edit for my music video, and to try and follow some of the theories of a music video in particlar the rhythmic theory we tried to cut the animation to the beat and during the animation there is a one second gap where there is no music and we then tried to cut the video so that the video came in on the beat when the music started again this seems to work well and have decided to keep it our music video.
